BMS Builds Board to take Business to Next Stage

BMS today announced a series of promotions designed to take the group to the next stage of its development. These appointments will give a greater practitioner focus to the business, creating an attractive platform from which to recruit new talent and build the business further.

Hugo Crawley is appointed Chairman of the BMS Associates Ltd Board.  In addition the following have been appointed to the Board. 

Christopher Hopton is appointed in the new role of non-executive Deputy Chairman with a particular focus on corporate governance.

It will also mean that the composition of the board will reflect the business split today at BMS - with insurance broking businesses now accounting for nearly half of all premium income.

Hugo joined the group in 1982, chaired the North American Reinsurance company since 1999 and has served on the board of BMS Associates Ltd since 2002. A specialist in all lines of Non-Marine Treaty Reinsurance in North America and Canada, he has spent 28 years as an underwriter and broker in the property and casualty field.
