BMS Develops General Aviation Capability
PRINCETON, November 27, 2007 - BMS, a leading reinsurance intermediary, announced today that it has appointed Richard Moody as a Senior Vice President & Aerospace Team Leader. Richard will be based in Princeton.
Richard Moody was previously at Benfield where he spearheaded the Group's U.S. General Aviation initiative. Prior to that he worked within the Aviation division at Willis in New York.
The U.S. General Aviation industry is seeing increasing growth as approximately 25 percent more aircraft are being manufactured and distributed each year and the total insurance premium volume in this class in the U.S. alone is now in excess of $2 billion.
"We are delighted that Richard, with his vast experience within the General Aviation arena, has joined our fast developing Marine, Energy and Aerospace team," said Tim Paske, Director, BMS Intermediaries. "At BMS, Richard will be charged with leading and developing the team's aerospace business. We are excited to be entering this expanding field."
Earlier this year, BMS hired another senior broker Frank Hernandez, based in Philadelphia, to focus on the team's U.S. marine and energy business.
Richard Moody added, "I am very pleased to be joining this growing team at BMS and helping to further its success."
